We’ve developed a skill set which allows us to take projects from concept to launch.

Strategy

Goal Discovery

We love it when a plan comes together. So, the first step is creating a plan. We begin by gathering information about your goals, audiences, brand standards and other key information about your business. This first step determines the rest of the journey. Once we all realize what you need to do, we focus on getting it done.

Project Management

Folks who manage projects are often the unsung heroes of projects. Much of our work can be intensely complicated with multiple producers, assets and stakeholders. We’ve designed lean and efficient processes to keep projects on scope, on time and on budget. We could call them the Taskmaster-Counselor-Cheerleader-Foreman-Field Commander of the project. It’s just easier to call them Project Managers.

Information Architecture

Sounds kind of boring, doesn’t it? Fortunately, we’ve got some geeks who actually think it’s fun (bless their hearts). But, there’s no doubt that it’s important. Just like a structural architect designs a building framework, an information architect crafts a scheme for data and messages. Creating things like sitemaps and content outlines make for a strong foundation for the rest of your project.

User Experience

We know that no one really buys a product or a service; they buy experiences. We put forth great effort to think like the users of your website or other communication tools. Users have goals too; it’s our job to make sure your audiences can easily and intuitively use the tool we design. We love making the complicated seem simple. Now, if we could only get a chance to redesign our cable TV remote controls.

Content Development

Copywriting

Copywriting is more than just writing something with proper grammar and punctuation. Those are important; but what you need to say and how you should say it are critical to any project. Whether presented on the Web, in print or in some other medium, crafting messages that fit the voice of your brand and lead readers to accomplish your goals are essential. Our copywriters aren’t simply word technicians; they’re message designers.

Illustration

If you’re one of those people who can’t draw a straight line with a ruler you’ve probably been a bit jealous of talented illustrators. Many of us here know how you feel when we watch our illustrators work. Sometimes it seems like sorcery. Original illustrations do more than just make your project look unique and professional; well-crafted illustrations communicate concepts simply and quickly. So, you can put down that ruler; our illustrators are ready and willing.

Photography

Pssst! Want to know a secret of the Design world? It’s something that every graphic designer knows can make their work look even better. You have to promise not to tell anyone else, but here it is: get a great photographer. Having professional photography raises the quality and effectiveness of almost any project. We could continue to tell you how much great photography is worth, but it would take at least 1000 words.

Audio & Video

The Web has come a long way from simply being a method of displaying print work electronically. Audio and video has become so ubiquitous with online experiences that users tend to expect them now. We’re always eager to use these powerful communication tools in projects. And the creative producers we work with have never failed to amaze both our clients and their audiences.

Graphic Design

Identity

Your identity as a person is precious and critical. Your business’s identity is no different. Our graphic designers can craft new identities by creating logos, selecting color palettes, choosing typefaces and designing print collateral. We can also adhere to or grow your existing identity through information graphics, iconography, print pieces, email campaigns and web design. In the end, we’re not creating identity for you; we’re revealing it.

User Interface Design

Our graphic designers hold to a key philosophy: Art is meant to be viewed, whereas Design is meant to be used. This belief guides all of their work when producing the design of websites and applications. If we have become known for anything, it’s this. To clients and users, our interfaces are usually described as elegant, beautiful and intuitive. To our designers, it’s all in a day's work.

Development

Front End

It’s this type of programming that turns a flat graphic design into a working web page or application. We’re extremely picky about our CSS/HTML standards so our clients can be sure that their users will experience websites and applications exactly as intended. We ensure that functions work on all types of browsers just as they should to the best level available.

Back End

This type of programming could also be called “background” programming since much of it is never seen by a user. If your site requires a Content Management System (CMS), special functions with data, ecommerce or integrates with other systems, you’ll be needing it. To put it simply, this type of development is all about problem solving. We solve them so you won’t have to.

Mobile

Rumor has it that one in three Americans has a smartphone; you’re one of them aren’t you? Even if you’re not, plenty of your audience members are. That’s why it’s so important to make sure your websites can be viewed with mobile browsers. We’re ready to make sure your audience can get what they need at a desk or on the street.
